Police DAV Public School Patiala gets new Principal

Today, Mohit Chug joined as the new Principal at Police DAV Public School, Patiala. He replaces Meena Thapar, who remained Principal of this prestigious school for more than seven years. Meena Thapar has been shifted to DAV Public School, Patran in Patiala district.
Meena Thapar welcomed Mohit Chug at Police DAV Public School,Patiala premises.
Chug said “after passing 12th from a Govt. School attained his graduate degree from a College at Chamba. He did his B.Ed from Indra Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)” . He added that “he remained an avid sportsperson who at school level remained the Distt. Level badminton champion and later represented college in athletics. He is an aesthete who always admired art, participated many times in school and college youth festival in declamation and debate. He is a Commissioned Officer NCC (got commissioned in 2000 from Officer Training School (OTS) Kamptee, Nagpur, Maharashtra and for his hard earned efforts, awarded as Best Associate NCC Officer of the state.”
He served DAV Centenary Public School till 2007 as PGT. Later he got the opportunity to serve DAV Public School, Nadaun near Jwalaji (H.P.) as Principal in 2007. His hard work proved benediction and got transferred to DAV Public School, Sunder Nagar in Himachal Pradesh in 2008. His quest for excellence commenced with affiliation of DAV Sunder Nagar to state board and then affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi alongwith up-gradation to Sr. Sec. Level in 2009 and made that school a techno-smart hub.
He wishes to take Police DAV Public School, Patiala to further heights with his strong visison and teamwork.

The School was founded to impart good quality education to the wards of Police personnels as well as in and civilians in and around Patiala. It came into being on 21st April ,2003 inspired by the success of Police DAV’s at Jallandhar and Amritsar.
