Police DAV students participated at National level programme
Patiala-It was a proud moment for Police DAV Public School Patiala when the students participated in All India National level programme organised by Student Police Cadet Corps at Gurgaon on 21st July 2018. The Minister for Home affairs Rajnath Singh was the chief guest. Among the dignitaries Prakash Javedkar Minister of Human Resources Development and Chief Minister Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar were also present to grace the occasion. Students from all the 28 states had attended the event. From Punjab four districts namely Patiala, Ludhiana, Mohali and Bathinda received the honour to participate in the event.
5 cadets were selected from our school by SP(HQ) cum DCPO Kanwardeep Kaur and guided by district incharge Sub Inspector Suman Bala about the details of the event. The students were thrilled to be a part of the National event the students landed at the venue with their teacher incharge Neelam Jolly on time and witnessed the dignitaries share their views and objectives behind the event. The main aim was to appraise the students above role of police as a friend and controlling crime. On this occasion Minister Rajnath Singh appreciated the police department for their efforts in reaching out to the young minds.
The students were given a cheerful reception in the Assembly accompanied by their teacher Neelam Jolly. The students were Kirtveer Singh, Nischay Singla, Hitesh, Udhay Ragmi and Aditya from class Xth. They thanked the school principal and staff members for providing them with such a big opportunity on the occasion saplings were planted in the school campus with the aid of School Police Cadet Corps and the students pledged to look after them.
On the occasion the school Principal Meena Thapar complimented the efforts of the police department and the students and staff for their dedication and sincere service. She further added that such events help in shaping up a child’s personality. To be a part of such events is a moment one can cherish for. Only young minds can make the country flourish. It was indeed a red letter day in the history of the school .
