Power department started process to regularise the services of contractual employees as per the policy-ETO

Punjab Power and Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Monday said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government is committed to fulfill all the legitimate demands of the employees.

Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO gave this assurance during the meetings with various unions of the Power department here, that lasted for about four hours. He said that under the recruitment campaign run by the Punjab government to provide employment to the youth, the Power department has given employment to 3972 youth so far and the process is on to fill the required posts. He said that the Power department has also started the process to regularise the services of contractual employees as per the policy adopted by the Punjab government.

Meanwhile,  Harbhajan Singh ETO held detail discussion with the representatives of  Bjili Mulajam  Ekta Manch, PSEB Employees Joint Front, Powercom Outsourced Technical/Office Workers Association, and Powercom & Transco Theka Mulajam Union. He congratulated the organizations for the positive decisions taken by the department so far acting on their demands. He said that the department has send the file regarding fiscal issues to the Finance department, and he himself is constantly making efforts for their quick resolution by holding meetings with Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema. He said that similarly, in cases where there is any legal hurdle, advice is being sought from the Advocate General’s office.

Baldev Singh Saran, Director HR Er. Ravinder Singh Saini and Director Finance S. K. Berry were also present in the meeting.
