Preneet Kaur to skip Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra

“Preneet Kaur, Congress member parliament, from Patiala and wife of former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, who has joined BJP, is not going to attend Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo yatra tomorrow at Sirhind or at any place in Punjab” said a party leader on the condition of anonymity from Patiala.
Another leader said ” the party high command might have changed the route of Rahul Gandhi at last minute ,just because of this reason. The yatra was earlier planned to enter Patiala district at Shambu in Rajpura sub division of Punjab. Now, Patiala is deleted from the yatra’s route and is to start from Fatehgarh Sahib district.”
The congress incharge Harish Chaudhary has announced several times that the party will take action against her for her anti party activities. But, as of now no action has been taken against her.
As per the schedule of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi will visit Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib at 6 am. A ceremony to hand over the flag will take place at 6.30 am. The yatra will resume from New Dana Mandi, Sirhind at 7 am. After a break, the evening leg will start at 3.30 pm from Khalsa School Ground, Mandi Gobindgarh. The yatra will continue in the state for eight days before it is scheduled to reach Jammu and Kashmir on January 19 via Pathankot.
Preneet Kaur to skip Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra whereas leaders, workers of Patiala parliamentary constituencies are told to join the yatra at Sirhind on Wednesday morning.
Today, Rahul Gandhi arrived at the Amritsar airport in the afternoon after concluding the Haryana leg of the foot march, skipping his road entry from Gateway of Punjab-Shambhu Border, adjoining Ambala in Haryana.
Gandhi was accompanied by Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Partap Singh Bajwa, local MP Gurjit Singh Aujla and other party leaders at Sri Darbar Sahib. After paying the obeisance at Sri Darbar sahib, Amritsar, Gandhi went to Sirhind in Fatehgarh Sahib where he will stay for the night.
