Prospectus release ceremony at Khalsa College Patiala
Surjit Singh Rakhra former Cabinet Minister and Honorary Secretary, Governing Body, Khalsa College Patiala released Prospectus of Professional Courses for session 2018-19 at Khalsa College, Patiala. He said that the college, running under the management of S.G.P.C., was awarded “College with Potential for Excellence” status by U.G.C. and it was conferred “A” grade by NAAC, Bangalore due to its exemplary achievements and progress made in the field of higher education. He said that this college has carved a niche for itself among the leading colleges of Punjab due to its huge strides in academics, Sports, Cultural activities and research done in ultra-modern and state-of-the-art laboratories.
Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal of the college said that all the programmes are running successfully in the college. The college attained Autonomous Status in the session 2016 which awarded it the freedom to design its own courses keeping in view the vocational needs of the students. Many programmes have been structured to hone and develop skills in the students to make them eligible for global employment. He also emphasized that the chief aim of the college is to provide value based education to the students in addition of imparting job oriented and career relevant courses which make them competent in procuring jobs in the future.
Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Deputy Principal of the college, Vice Principals Dr. Tarlochan Singh Mahajan, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Batra, Prof. Sunil Mehta, Controller Examination Dr. Ravinderjit Singh, Dean Cultural Dr. Harvinder Kaur, and Prof. Rajdeep Singh Dhaliwal were also present.
