Proud Moment: this year Grammy Award for Indian musicians

This year 66th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California, included not only just Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus but also Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain and flautist Rakesh Chaurasia who won the award for Best Global Music Performance. Their song Pashto, which was awarded, features American musicians Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer featuring Rakesh Chaurasia.

Also, Indian musicians Shankar Mahadevan and Zakir Hussain’s fusion band Shakti made India proud at the 66th Grammys in LA on Monday. The fusion band, Shakti won the Grammy latest release ‘This Moment’. The band features renowned artists like John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, V Selvaganesh, and Ganesh Rajagopalan.
