PSPCL campaign against power theft in Punjab is brining good results-Bhullar

The campaign launched by Punjab State POWER Corporation LTD. against the menace of theft of power in Punjab on the instructions of PSPCL CMD A.Venu Prasad is achieving big success with outstanding results.
Er.Jasbir Singh Bhullar chief engineer enforcement PSPCL disclosed that mass checking was carried out by 10 enforcement teams(3 teams of Jalandhar and 7 teams of Ludhiana)yesterday at Ludhiana. He said that teams checked premises of consumers of Focal point, Model Town, Aggar Nagar Divisions areas of Ludhiana. The squads checked 151 connections, detected 5 theft of electricity cases, 20 no UE/ UUE/ WM cases. A penalty of RS 26.75 lacs has been imposed on discrepancy cases. He further said that special emphasis was given to defaulting amount cases.
Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has appealed to all its consumers to help PSPCL in controlling the menace of theft of electricity by providing information about theft of power for campaign against theft of electricity in the state.
