Punjab 2022 elections -DG election commission reviewed media management for Punjab

An online review meeting was taken by Sheyphali Sharan, Director General, Election Commission of India regarding media related matters for forthcoming General Election to Vidhan Sabha in Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Uttrakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
Director General, ECI took review regarding the composition of Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) at State/District level, establishment of permanent media cell, monitoring of Paid News, establishment of Media Monitoring Control Room at CEO/ DEO level to monitor election management and social media cell.
The commission directed all the CEOs of poll going state to regularly update the SVEEP activities and send media coverage in the prescribed format.
Additional CEO, Punjab, Madhvi Katria, IAS along with SVEEP and media team apprised the commission about the preparedness related to media matters and SVEEP activities initiated for the forthcoming assembly election.
