Punjab cadre IAS on deputation appointed as DG in the rank of Secretary GoI; 18 high profile bureaucrats transferred

93 Punjab cadre senior IAS officer Rakesh Kumar Verma who is on deputation to Centre and presently working as Additional Secretary Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti has been appointed as Director General, India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India by temporarily upgrading and re-designating the post of Director General (Training) in the Election Commission of India.
Along with him 17 other senior bureaucrats are also transferred by GoI
