Punjab cadre SSP relived from Chandigarh to join Punjab police

In a sudden move Punjab cadre IPS officer Kuldeep Singh Chahal, working as senior superintendent of police, Chandigarh, has been relived by the Chandigarh administration.
The charge of SSP Chandigarh has been given to Manisha Chaudhary, IPS of Haryana cadre 2011 batch. Manisha is presently holding the charge of SSP (Traffic) , Chandigarh.
2009 batch IPS officer Kuldeep Singh Chahal had joined as SSP Chandigarh in Oct 2020 for three years.But, today he is relieved before the expiry of his three years term.
The post of SSP is reserved for Punjab cadre IPS officer and the post of deputy commissioner Chandigarh is reserved for Haryana Cadre IAS officer.
