Punjab DGP holds meeting with police officers of Rupnagar range

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav held a special meeting with all gazetted officers and SHOs of Rupnagar range at Rupnagar on Wednesday. In the meeting, Rupnagar Range DIG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, Rupnagar SSP Dr. Sandeep Garg, Mohali SSP Vivek Sheel Soni, Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Ravjot Kaur Bains and all gazetted officers and SHOs posted in Rupnagar range participated.
The main agenda of the meeting was to root out drug trafficking, protect people by maintaining law and order, take strict action against mischievous elements, solve people’s problems on priority basis as soon as possible. During the meeting special instructions were issued regarding ensuring maintenance of police station records and policing on traditional, modern and technological basis keeping in mind the Independence Day, festive season.
During the meeting officers were told to set up special nakas ,ensure patrolling in an effective manner, provide corruption free service, ensure modern and technical investigation, resolution of pending complaints in police station ,ensure good treatment of people, arrest of proclaimed offenders .
Gaurav Yadav said that officers and employees who had given good service would be honoured and strict action would be taken against officers and employees who show poor performance.
He also sought suggestions from the officers and employees and discussed the problems faced by them during their working.
At the end of the meeting DIG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and SSPs of the three districts reiterated their commitment of providing good policing and service thanked Gaurav Yadav for his guidance.
