Punjab government appointed Dr KK Aggarwal as Director Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences Jalandhar

Punjab government has appointed former Principal of Government Medical College Patiala Principal Dr KK Aggarwal as Director Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences Jalandhar for a term of three years. He will retire at the age of 65 years.

Dr Aggarwal, a forensic medicine expert remained Principal of Government Medical College Patiala for about seven months. He remained the head of the department for seven years. He has a vast experience in academics, as he remained a paper setter, external and internal examiner for MBBS for around 30 years.
In his career, he remained on many administrative posts like Medical superintendent, deputy medical superintendent, drawing and disbursing officer in Government Medical College.
Due to his subject expertise, he had experience with authorities like judicial officers, Advocate General, Human Rights Commission, IAS/IPS officers, Medical Council of India (MCI) assessors, Ministry of health and Family welfare, investigating agencies like CBI/ NIA .
During his short stint at Government Medical College Patiala as Principal Dr KK Aggarwal, he brought many administrative, clinical changes in the college.
