Punjab govt sounds poll bugle; issues notification for panchayat elections

Punjab government has issued a notification regarding panchayat elections. According to which panchayat elections will be held in Punjab till October 20,2024.
Punjab Government had already dissolved over 13,000 Gram Panchayats and 76 Panchayat Samitis across the State, signaling the preparations of the panchayat election process. The dissolution, initiated in early September, comes as part of the state’s preparation for panchayat polls, for which the notification is issued today.
