Punjab police proves its mettle; last accused Chirag in Deepak Tinu’s escape case arrested

Punjab police SIT under the heading of IG Patiala Mukhwinder Singh Chhina, SSP Mansa Gaurav Toora, AGTF AIG Opinderjit Singh Ghuman , DSP Bikramjit Singh Brar has cracked the gangster Deepak Tinu escape case.
During investigation at CIA Patiala, Deepak Tinu gave vital information about his escape from CIA Mansa incharge custody. On this information CIA Patiala incharge Inspector Shaminder Singh and his team raided various places in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and got the sucess to crack this case.
Mukhwinder Singh Chhinna IPS, IG Patiala Range briefed the press that Deepak Tinu s/o Anil Kumar r/o Bhiwani , a conspirator in SIdhu Moosewala murder case was brought on production warrant from Central Jail Goindwal Sahib in FIR no 218 dated 22.08.2019 u/s 302,34 IPC PS Sardoolgarh on 27.09.2022, and police remand was taken for interrogation. During this, Deepak Tinu was lodged in CIA Mansa lockup.
On the intervening night of 01/02 October 2022, Ex Incharge CIA Mansa SI Pritpal Singh took Deepak Tinu out of CIA lockup alone in his private vehicle. During this period, Deepak Tinu managed to escape from the custody of ex SI Pritpal Singh. Immediately FIR no 164 dated 02.10.2022 u/s 222,224,225A , 120 B IPC PS City 1 Mansa was registered against Deepak Tinu and ex SI Pritpal Singh. Ex SI Pritpal Singh was dismissed from service on 02.10.2022.
Keeping in view the sensitivity of the case, DGP Punjab constituted a 04 member Special Investigation Team (SIT) consisting of IG Patiala Range (Chairperson), Sh. Opinderjit Singh Ghuman AIG AGTF (Member), Senior Superintendent of Police Mansa (Member) and Sh. Bikramjit Singh Brar (Member) to thoroughly investigate the case. Various teams were formed by AGTF and other wings of Punjab Police and raids were conducted in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Nepal Border.
During investigation, it was revealed that Pritpal Singh had taken Deepak TInu out of CIA lockup and taken him alone to pick up Deepak Tinu’s girlfriend and then took them both to his house. From there, Deepak TInu managed to escape along with his girlfriend. Deepak Tinu’s girlfriend Jitender Kaur @ Jyoti was identified and rounded up. Further investigation led to arrest of Kuldeep Singh @ Kohli s/o Kishanpal Singh r/o Ludhiana, Rajvir Singh@ Kajama s/o Dhruv Singh r/o Ludhiana and Rajinder Singh @ Gora s/o Gurmit Singh r/o Ludhiana on 11.10.2022 who were instrumental in sending Jyoti to Mansa to meet Deepak TInu. The Skoda Rapid car used was also recovered.
Developing further leads, the AGTF teams were carrying out searches in District Ajmer Rajasthan to nab Deepak Tinu, but Delhi Police managed to catch him first. Delhi Police took Police remand of Deepak TInu. During further investigation, an accused Sarbjot Singh @ Sunny s/o Azadwinder Singh r/o Hanumangarh was also arrested. He was instrumental in providing safe passage to Deepak Tinu after escape. A 0.32 bore Pistol and a Mercedes Car has also been recovered from him. Bittu s/o Anil Kumar r/o Bhiwani, brother of Deepak TInu was brought on production warrant from Delhi and arrested by Punjab Police on 29.10.2022. A 0.32 bore Pistol has been recovered from Bittu. Deepak Tinu was brought to Mansa and arrested on 31.10.2022, and police remand was taken. Recovery of 02 automatic pistols and 05 hand grenades has already been effected by Delhi Police from Deepak TInu. During interrogation, it was revealed that Chirag s/o Anil Kumar r/o Bhiwani ( brother of Deepak TInu ) had come in a dark blue Santro car and picked up Deepak TInu from outside the residence of Pritpal Singh and took Deepak TInu and Jyoti to Gogameri (Rajasthan) and then further to different hideouts. Chirag has also been arrested on 07.11.2022 and two 0.32 bore pistol and the Santro car used in the crime has also been recovered from him.
SIT will conclude the investigation at the earliest and present the chargesheet in the court.
