Punjabi University looking towards next state budget to be presented in 1st week of March 2023- Mohindru

The new government has completed one year and has completely disappointed the students, employees, and pensioners associated with Punjabi University, Patiala. Today, the student protest halted the Punjabi university absolutely as no academic work had been possible throughout the day.
The university is crumbling at this moment and it is feared that it will be closed very soon if a significant allocation of the grant will not be given to the University in the state budget to be presented in March 2023.
Today’s protest by the students was mainly for getting a financial grant for the University. It is appealed to all the student unions, teaching and non-teaching elected bodies, and pensioners to fight cohesively for getting a financial grant to run the university.
