Renowned academician appointed as 3rd Vice Chancellor of MRSPTU

Renowned Professor Sandeep Kansal has been appointed as the third Vice Chancellor of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda. He is appointed as the officiating VC of the technical university.

The appointment was marked by a ceremony attended by senior faculty members and family, including his wife, Dr. Mamta Kansal, a professor in the Mathematics department of the university.

In his address, Dr. Kansal expressed gratitude to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Technical Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, and Principal Secretary of Technical Education Vivek Partap Singh for entrusting him with this important role. He pledged to meet their expectations and advance the university to new heights.

*Academic and Professional Excellence*

Dr. Kansal brings 28 years of academic experience to the role. He holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics and is a distinguished scholar with qualifications including UGC-CSIR NET and GATE certifications. At MRSPTU, he has served as Professor and Head of the Department of Physics, as well as Dean of the Faculty of Sciences. His past roles include Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Director of Planning & Development, Professor In Charge (Finance & Purchase), Nodal Officer for the PMSS scheme, and NAAC Assessor.
