Rotaract Club of Govt. Bikram College of Commerce Organizes “Khilta Bachpan: A Day of Fun and Giving”

The Rotaract Club (R.I. District: 3090) of Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala, organized a heart-warming event titled “Khilta Bachpan: A Day of Fun and Giving” on Friday, September 20, at Masti ki Pathshala, (an organisation working for the betterment of slum area children) Patiala. The event was held under the able guidance of college Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata. This event was managed by Rtn. CA Rajiv Goyal, an alumnus of the college, and was sponsored by Rotary Club Patiala Mid Town. Dr Reetu kapoor, Incharge Rotaract Club also accompanied the club members.

The primary objective of the event was to bring joy and support to underprivileged children by distributing nutritious refreshments such as fruits and juices, along with essential stationery items like registers, pens, and other school supplies. Additionally, the students engaged in a day filled with fun activities, including races, drills, musical chairs, and other games. The Club also organized a drawing competition as part of the event, where children showcased their creativity and imagination, adding an artistic touch to the day.

The children participated enthusiastically in the sports meet and shared memorable moments with the volunteers, who played alongside them, fostering a spirit of camaraderie. The event created an atmosphere of joy and celebration, brightening the day for everyone involved.

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata lauded the efforts of Rotaract Club members for their dedication to the community service and encouraged students to engage in more such initiatives. She also motivated students to adopt a healthy lifestyle and embrace the holistic development approach. Dr. Reetu Kapoor emphasized that through service and collaboration, Rotaract fosters personal growth, community development and encourages members to make a tangible difference in the society.

Rotaract Club of Govt. Bikram College of Commerce Organizes “Khilta Bachpan: A Day of Fun and Giving”. On this occasion the founder of ‘Masti ki Pathshala’ Rajpal Mast, Mrs. Nargis,  Nisha Arora, Rotaract club president Raghav Garg, Secretary Harsimardeep Kaur along with club members were also present.

The event was a resounding success, spreading smiles and reaffirming the club’s commitment to make a positive impact on the society.
