Once again the news of royalpatiala.in has proved correct. Our News Portal on December 6,2022 had predicted that Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra may skip Shambhu Border for entering Punjab under heading“Setback for Congress in Punjab before the beginning of Bharat Jodo Yatra; former MLA declared “Wanted” by police”
On January 7, 2023 Punjab Pradesh congress committee president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring along with the Secretary in-charge Harish Chaudhary and the Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Partap Singh Bajwa had announced that the Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra will enter Punjab through Shambhu border on January 10 and will straightway go to Fatehgarh Sahib. On January 11, after paying obeisance at the Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib, Rahul Gandhi will address a public meeting before embarking on foot on his Punjab leg of the yatra.
But, today, Rahul Gandhi landed at the Amritsar airport after concluding the Haryana leg of the march in Ambala district and offered prayers at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, a day ahead of the start of the Punjab leg of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
He skipped his entry to Punjab from the Shambhu border, adjoining Ambala and directly went to Amritsar by air. From Amritsar he will reach Fatehgarh Sahib to start his Bharat Jodo Yatra Punjab’s leg.
royalpatiala.in December 6 News proves correct; Rahul skips Shambhu Border entry to enter Punjab . As per party insiders “Rahul skipped Shambhu border as the area falls under Rajpura assembly constituency and the former MLA, area incharge of Rajpura , Hardial Singh Kamboj is absconding. The police have booked him in a abatement to suicide case and a look out notice has been issued against him and his son Nirbhai Singh Milty. The party was planning to give a rousing welcome to Rahul Gandhi when he is going to enter Punjab and had asked the party former MLA Hardial Kamboj to coordinate with the coordinators of the yatra for this as the area falls under his assembly constituency. He was assigned to bring large number of workers for the yatra to give a strong message. But, after the lookout notice the party high command got in dilemma to what to do as this has brought setback to the party fold. Moreover, the nearby constituency of Ghanour represented by former MLA Madan Lal Jalapur who is also not in India and his son is booked in a fraud case by Patiala police too. So, to avoid any unnecessary controversies Rahul and his core team decided to skip Shambhu border route and planned to pay obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar. By doing this Rahul “hit two targets with one arrow”; He avoided unnecessary controversy on Kamboj’s issue and gained respect and sympathy by paying obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib at Amritsar to show his concern towards Punjab Sikhs.”
