Rupnagar police bust inter-state arms smuggling racket, large quantity of pistols, magazines recovered

Rupnagar police claimed to have busted an interstate illegal arms smuggling racket by recovering a huge cache of lethal weapons consisting of 20 pistols along with 40 magazines. Rupnagar SSP Vivek S. Soni said that under the supervision of Manvinderbir Singh, S.P. (Investigation)Talwinder Singh, DS.P (Investigation),the CIA staff in-charge Inspector Satnam Singh along with his team had arrested an accused Bharat Bhushan  alias Pammi, an accomplice of United States based gangster Pavittar Singh and  recovered  3 Pistols of 0.32 bore, 01 imported Pistol (COLT GOVERNMENT 1911 A1, cal 9 mm P.A.K) and 34 live cartridges from him. In this regard, a case under section 25-54-59 Arms Act  was registered at Rupnagar city police station against him on December 2.

To  ascertain the backward linkages, during further investigation of this case, police party headed by DSP Talwinder Singh Gill and CIA staff in-charge Inspector Satnam Singh nominated another accused namely Deepak Singh alias Prince alias Manoj son of Kailash Singh  resident of Village Umarati falling under Barla police station of  district Badwani, (M.adhya Pradesh)and rushed to Madhya Pradesh and raided at the hide out of accused Deepak alias Prince alias Manoj in the forests of village, Khadki/Bariya of Gandhwani police station of District Dhar, (Madhya Pradesh) and recovered  20 pistols (0.30 and 0.32 Bore) along with 40 magazines.

He said that special teams have been deputed in Madhya Pradesh to nab the accused. There will be more revelations after the arrest of above said accused.
