Sarbat da Bhala Trust starts rebuilding and renovating houses damaged due to floods in Punjab

Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust has started the work of construction and repairing houses damaged by floods  under the Sunny Oberoi  Awas Yojna dedicated to the 400th birth anniversary of the  of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.

District President JK Jagi while giving information said that the construction work of a house of a widow and her disabled son at Morinda has been started.

It was started by Dr. SP Singh, the managing trustee  of the organisation . A budget of Rs 12 crore has been earmarked by  Trust, for the purpose of providing all the relief materials to the flood victims in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. While a budget of Rs 3 crore  has been kept for providing medicines, cattle fodder and other relief materials to the flood affected families for human and animal health care.

Oberoi  also announced to give a pension of Rs 2500 per month, considering the condition of the family. On this occasion, he also made public the phone number (0175-2284177) of the organization’s head office in Patiala, on which any person in need can contact and ask for help at any time.

On this occasion, Municipal Council Vice President Amritpal Singh Khatra, Surjit Singh, District Rupnagar President of the organization JK Jagi, Vice President Ashwani Khanna, Madan Mohan Gupta Cashier, G IS Oberoi General Secretary ,Manmohan Kalia, Giani Sant Singh and Principal Part Singh Makrauna were also present.
