Science Fair to admire budding scientists organised at SBSSTC Ferozepur

Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur organised Science Fair-2018 in which students from Government and Private Schools of 10th, 10+1 and 10+2 standard participated. The live projects/models on theme of applied sciences were displayed during this Science Fair.
Total nine teams from Junior category (10th standard) and seventeen teams from Senior category presented their working models. Total 10 schools namely Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Karian Pehalwan; Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Sande Hasham; Dev Samaj Model Sr. Sec. School, Ferozepur; J. N. International School, Ferozepur; Science School of SBS State Technical Campus, Fzr; DC Model Sr. Sec. School, Fzr Cantt; Abhinandan Model School, Fzr; Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Fzr; Manav Mandir Sr Sec School, Fzr and B M Jain Sr. Sec. School, Fzr.
The students team standing at first, second and third place were awarded with cash prize of Rs.2100/-; Rs.1100/- and Rs.500 in each category.
In Junior Category (matric level) the model entitled ‘Dynamic Street Light System and Electric Road)’ made by Jagtar Singh and Harsh Singla from DC Model Sr Sec School, Fzr Cantt stood at first position with cash prize of Rs.2100/-. The model entitled ‘Innovation in transport and communication’ made by Suraj and Krish from Manav Mandir Sr Sec School, Fzr stood at second position with cash prize of Rs.1100/-. The model entitled ‘Working of Human Heart’ made by Kusum and Arshdeep from Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Fzr Cantt stood at third position with cash prize of Rs.500/-.
In Senior Category (10+1/10+2 level) the model entitled ‘Regenerating Breaking System’ made by Harjinder Singh and Mohit Sharma from Govt Sr Sec School, Sande Hasham stood at first position with cash prize of Rs.2100/-. The model entitled ‘Hydraulic Bridge’ made by Jashan and Raman from Dev Samaj Model Sr Sec School, Fzr stood at second position with cash prize of Rs.1100/-. The model entitled ‘Waste Management of Parali’ made by Gurjinder Singh and Vishal from Govt Sr Sec School, Karian Pehalwan stood at third position with cash prize of Rs.500/-.
This Science Fair was organised under the directions of Dr T. S. Sidhu Campus Director. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Overall Coordinator of this Science Fair and Dr Lalit Sharma (Associate Director) welcomed the Chief Guest Nek Singh, District Education Officer (Sec), Ferozepur and Guest of Honour Deepak Sharma, District Nodal Officer, Ferozepur. He specially thanked Dr. Sangeeta Sharma and Dr Gazal Preet Singh who were Co-coordinators in recognition of their efforts for smooth conduct of this Science Fair. Dr. Kulbhushan Agnihotri, Dr Sangeeta Sharma and Dr Rajni were in panel of judges for evaluation of models.
Anuradha Rani, Navtej Singh, Bindu Bala, Sandeep Kumar, Gurpreet Singh, Rajnish Kumar, Gurjeevan Singh, Balwinder Singh Mohi, Vijeta Thakur, Amandeep Kaur, Manjeet Singh Bajwa, Harpinder Pal Singh, Chrles Gill and Gurcharan Singh were present during this Science Fair.
