Senior SAD leader refused to contest; Badal announces more candidates

Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal has announced the candidate- Parkash Singh Bhatti from Bathinda (Rural), darshan Singh Kotfatta from Buchon(in Bathinda district) and senior SAD leader Sikandar Singh Maluka from Rampura Phul, for the upcoming assembly elections.
In a twist, Sikandar Singh Maluka refused to contest on SAD ticket from Rampura Phull. He even got upset and said ” the party didn’t consulted him before announcing the ticket. He said his son Gurpreet Singh is working hard in Rampura so he will only contest from Rampura.”
