Spreading Smiles: A Humanitarian Initiative by the Rotaract Club of Government Bikram College of Commerce

The Rotaract Club of Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala sponsored by Rotary Club Patiala Midtown (R.I District 3090) undertook a heartfelt humanitarian initiative aimed at bringing joy to the underprivileged children of Masti Ki Pathshala under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata on 21st August. She praised the students for their active participation and encouraged them to continue participating in such noble causes that foster empathy and social responsibility.
The event was honored by the presence of CA Rajiv Goyal, an esteemed alumnus of the club whose unwavering guidance continues to be a source of motivation for every Rotaractor. He appreciated the commendable efforts of the young students in serving society and emphasized that such initiatives nurture a sense of responsibility and compassion among the youth.
Dr. Reetu Kapoor, Faculty In-charge and mentor of the Rotaract Club played a significant role in steering this initiative towards success through her constant encouragement and guidance. She highlighted the importance of instilling humanitarian values through such meaningful endeavors.
Adding to the glory of the event was the gracious presence of Dr. Harshinder Kaur, widely known as the Steel Woman of India along with her better half Prof. Gurpal Singh. Their participation brought inspiration and warmth to the occasion.
As part of this impactful project, the club distributed nutritious eatables including lassi, juices, chips, cookies and bananas. The club also organized fun-filled games in which the children participated with great enthusiasm, creating lasting memories and spreading smiles all around.
The tireless efforts of Keshav Garg (President), Rishab Sharma (Secretary), Diksha Rana (Coordinator) showcased the spirit of youth-led community service.
The founder members of Masti ki Pathshala Rajpal Mast, Prof. Sudarshan Gupta and Madam Gill were also present on this occasion.
This initiative stands as a shining example of the club’s unwavering commitment to community service and social upliftment.
