On The auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurupurav and Kartik Purnima Mittal Group organized a soulful evening of Bhajan Kirtan called Sumeru Sandhya at Sushant City-II. The Bhajan Sandhya was organized in association with the Art of Living Bathinda Family. World famous Singer, Lyricist and Composer Chitra Roy who is associated with ‘The Art of Living’ for over two decades was invited for this event. Her Bhajans took the audience to a different realm altogether giving them a glimpse of bliss, solace and inner tranquillity. The spontaneity with which she exhibited variations in notes in her music and the creativity with which she reinvented the Bhajans left the audience marvelling for more. The grandeur in her presence, the charm in her smile and the grace in her demeanour added spell that she cast upon the audience.
CMD of Mittal Group of Companies Rajinder Mittal and his wife Sunita Mittal, Dy Commissioner Diprava Lakra (IAS), SSP Naveen Singla, (IPS) specifically graced the occasion. The programme started with lighting the lamp by Ved Kumari Mittal W/o Late Dwarka Dass Mittal the Founder of the Group and mother of Rajinder Mittal. The Bhajans of eminent singer Chitra Roy created an atmosphere of divinity, bliss and peace. Hundreds of people from Bathinda and adjoining areas of Ferozepur, Faridkot, Kotkapura, Mandi Dabwali, Sirsa, Fazilka and Abohar and Ex- Member of parliament Paramjit Kaur Gulshan and Ex Justice Nirmal Singh and Dy Mayor Tarsem Goyal enjoyed the Bhajans of Chitra Roy. The climax of the programme was when the bhajans of Chitra Roy created such a divine atmosphere which took the audience to such higher dimension of God’s Grace that they joyfully started dancing forgetting about themselves. The programme started at 7:30 PM by welcome address by Rajinder Mittal, CMD Mittal Group and continued till the 10 PM. It closed by Vote of Thanks by AGM State Bank of India Suresh Goyal and honouring of distinguished Guest, followed by Guru Ka Langar.
