Tandarust Punjab Mission PPCB Conducts checking of NFL

Bathinda- Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Diprava Lakra today conducted meeting under the Tandarust Punjab Mission wherein he constituted teams of various departments. These teams will soon lay out action plan and implement the same.

Presiding over meeting of 26 departments involved in the activity, Lakra said that to conduct checking of eatables the team of GM District Industries Center, food inspector, civil surgeon office employees etc has been constituted. This team will conduct checking of various units that handle food products.  Similarly, to conduct checking of the drug stores team of drug inspector, health department and police has been constituted. Under the Ghar Ghar Hariyali scheme, the agriculture department, horticulture and forest department will work together to promote plantation.

Lakra directed to take Tandarust Punjab campaign at every doorstep, the general public should be involved in this initiative. Under Ghar Ghar Hariyali scheme, the forest dept will distribute 2.5 lacs medicinal plant. These plants can be procured from the nurseries of forest department. He directed the government employees to ensure that all vacant government land pieces are covered in green.

Tandarust Punjab Mission PPCB Conducts checking of NFL

Various activities were carried out under the Tandarust Punjab campaign wherein the officials of Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) visited the National Fertilizers Limited and collected samples of air and water. Earlier, the PPCB teams have visited solid waste dumping sites of Goniana, Bhucho, Rampura, Maur, Talwandi Sabo and Raman Mandi. It has also conducted checking of 5 health care facilities and 10 industries.

District Health Officer Dr Ashok Monga conducted checking of the local subji mandi and destroyed over ripened fruits and veggies. Besides this the mobile food testing van tested 26 samples of milk of which 5 failed and four samples of water of which 2 failed. Health dept conducted checking for larvae of dengue and malaria in major areas of city under which 755 houses were inspected.

District police put up nakas at various places and issued 3 challans for using pressure horns and 65 challans for not having pollution check certificates.
