Third senior AAP leader arrested

Aam Aadmi Party Member Parliament Sanjay Singh was arrested on Wednesday by the Enforcement Directorate following the central agency’s searches at his residence in connection with its money laundering probe into alleged irregularities in Delhi excise policy 2021-22.
He is the third AAP leader to be arrested after Satinder Jain and Manish Sisodia.
Manish Sisodia was also arrested the Enforcement Directorate in connection with its money laundering probe into alleged irregularities in Delhi excise policy 2021-22 in March 2023.
Today’s raids against Mr Singh come after he was named by an accused in the case – businessman Dinesh Arora – who later became an ‘approver’, and a font of information for the authorities.
