The Congress on Saturday announced massive changes in the party’s inner structure ahead of next year’s general elections as it relieved Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as the AICC incharge of UP Congress.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has appointed Delhi Congress leader Devinder Yadav as the in-charge of Punjab Congress and removed incumbent in-charge Harish Chaudhary.
Devendra Yadav is a Congress leader from Delhi. He was earlier in-charge of Uttarakhand and has been a minister in Delhi.
This decision has come ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It will be a big challenge for Davinder Yadav to keep the Punjab Congress together before the Lok Sabha elections.
Congress has lost 2022 Punjab assembly elections under the command of Harish Chaudhary. Chaudhary failed to control, manage the infighting between the congress leaders.

Along with this, Kharge has decided to keep Punjab Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa in charge of Rajasthan Congress. Apart from this, the young Congress leader of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot has been appointed as the in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress. Vijayinder Singla has been adjusted as Treasure
