To welcome International students, Directorate of International Affairs, Punjabi University organised ‘THE UNITY-FAIR 2025’

The Directorate of International Affairs, Punjabi University Patiala organized a freshers’ party ‘THE UNITY-FAIR 2025’ on October 10 party to welcome the new international students on Punjabi University Campus.
University administration, faculty and students from over 40 counties participated in a fun-filled gala event to celebrate this new chapter in the lives of students from all over the globe.
The evening was marked with high-energy traditional dance and musical performances, fashion walks celebrating global diversity, and other fun-filled activities.
The Chief Guest of the occasion, Dr. Jagdeep Singh, Vice-Chancellor Punjabi University Patiala appreciated the efforts put in by the students to highlight their culture to the global audience and congratulated the Directorate for organizing activities that unity and camaraderie amongst the youth.
The Guest of honour, Sukhwinder Singh ( Director, Preet Tractors and PUP Alumnus) congratulated the Directorate for putting up the show and promised to extend all support to facilitate learning opportunities to the international students.
Prof. Damanjit Sandhu , Dean, Directorate of International Affairs said that the international students had been very enthusiastic about this event and the grand success of the event will spread the message of goodwill of Punjabi University far and wide. Dr. Jagpreet Kaur, Coordinator, Directorate of International Affairs shared that the number of international admissions at Punjabi University have risen owing to the great leadership, and warm and embracing culture at the Campus.
The event was graced by Prof. Jaswinder Brar, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Ritu Lehal, Dean Research, Prof. Minni Singh, Additional Dean Research, Prof. Mamta Sharma, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Bhim Inder, Dean Youth Welfare, Prof. Sukhjeet Ranade, Director Planning and Monitoring, Prof. Richa Shri, Dr. Inderpreet Sandhu, Dr. Sukhminder Kaur, Dr. Neelofer Sohi, Dr.Sukhwinder Singh, Dr. Bikram and Dr. Anumeet.
The faculty members expressed that they were overjoyed to see the bhangra performance by the international students and the bonds they have created with the local students while learning Punjabi culture.
The community of international students expressed their gratitude to the Directorate of International Affairs for their support related to all academic and extracurricular activities
