Transparency based mining policy to be implement in Punjab- Harjot Bains

Punjab Minister for mining and geology,tourism and cultural affairs and jails Harjot Singh Bains on Saturday visited in the district Rupnagar.
Addressing the media persons here after holding meeting with district officers he said that Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann would work sincerely for the welfare of the people. He said that Instructions have been issued to all the Deputy Commissioners and SSPs of the state to conduct demarcation of all the places which were allotted for mining and to take action to prevent illegal mining at any level.
He said that in order to eradicate illegal mining, Enforcement Directorate for minning has been made fully operational. He further said that a transparency based new minning policy would be implemented in the state soon for the smooth running of mining under which the money which earlier went in to account of illegal miners would now come to the Punjab government which would be spent on the development of the state.
He said that our main objective was to extend all welfare schemes to the people and to eradicate the mafia rule. He also assured that with the implementation of the new mining policy, no one would be able to engage in illegal mining.

In the first phase 50 villages of Punjab would be established as tourism spots for which the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab was working day and night.

Bhajan Lal, Bhag Singh Madaan, Kamikar Singh Dhadi, Shiv Kumar Lalpura, Ranjit Singh, Hardeep Singh Kahlo, Jasveer Singh, Ravin Babla, Event Incharge Sandeep Joshi, Inderpal Singh Satial, Sahel Singh and others were also present.
