A two-day Youth Festival ‘Pargaas- 2022’ has commenced at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib. Over 1200 participants from various colleges and universities have participated in the first day of literary events.  Dr. Prit Pal Singh, the Vice- Chancellor of the University inaugurated the festival. In his inaugural address, he said that the youth festival is organised to provide students an opportunity to showcase their talent in diverse fields. It will help them polish their skills to compete in such co-curricular activities. He said that the University is committed to the overall development of the students.  Dr. Singh conveyed that the festival was not just an assemblage of students but also a platform for sharing ideas and thoughts, and specifically for promoting art and culture. He added that the motive of organising the youth festival is to motivate students to preserve Punjabi culture and the energetic spirit of the Punjabis.

Two-Day Youth Festival ‘Pargaas-2022’ commences at the World University. Dr SS Billing, Dean Academic Affairs formally welcomed the participants and the guests to the youth festival. He wished good luck to all the participants and assured that the competitions will be organised fairly and the unbiased judgement will be given .

Dr. Preet Kaur, Dean Students’ Welfare thanked the guests, the media, the faculty members from various colleges and institutes of higher education, and the participants for adding fervor to the event. She informed that the first day of the festival includes events such as Documentary, Quiz, Creative Writing, Science Mania, Online Gaming, Tug of War, Floral Decoration, Face Painting, Collage Making, Extempore and Declamation. In the second half of the day Ad-Mad show, poster making, T-Shirt Painting, Pot painting, Stone Painting, Rangoli, Mehandi, Clay Modelling, Best out of Waste and flower decoration competitions were organised.
