Two Punjab IAS officers selected for central deputation receive posting orders

Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, lAS (PB:2009) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a combined tenure of five years upto 02/04/2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier
Alaknanda Dayal, lAS (PB:2000), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Alaknanda Dayal, lAS is presently posted as Principal Secretary, Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training, Govt of Punjab
On April 8,2026 two IAS officers of Punjab cadre of 2009 batch namely Sumeet Kumar Jarangal and Gauri Parasher Joshi were empanelled for holding the posts of Joint Secretary or equivalent at the Centre .Jarangal gets the posting orders, Joshi is yet to receive it
