To mourn the sad demise of Keshav Devi Tiwari, the mother of Vice Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, a condolence meeting was held at Central University of Punjab. On this occasion, faculty and staff observed two-minute silence to pay a tribute to the departed soul.
While expressing his grief during the condolence meeting, Kanwal Pal Singh Mundra, the Registrar, mentioned that we are deeply saddened to inform the sad demise of Keshav Devi, who left us for her heavenly abode at the age of 92, on June 11, 2021. Her funeral was performed at Village Badraon Tiwarian, Tehsil Sirmaur, Dist. Riwa on Saturday.
Prof. Vinod K. Garg, Dean Student Welfare, in his condolence message stated that Late Smt. Keshav Devi was a hardworking homemaker. While performing her duties in a joint family, she gave good upbringing as well as good values to her children and made them capable to serve the society and the country. Sharing his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family, Prof. Garg said that in this hour of grief, the entire CUPB family is with our Vice Chancellor Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari.
During this condolence meeting, CUPB officials, faculty and staff members prayed to the Almighty to give courage to bear the huge loss in the hour of grief to the bereaved family and grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
