Verka launches “Election Awareness Mission”; VERKA workers deployed in 1000 villages to increase voter turnout

Verka Milk Plant Ludhiana has started an “Election Awareness Mission” to achieve the target of “70 Par this time” set by the Election Commission. Verka Milk Plant Ludhiana has started an awareness campaign at the village level to appeal to the voters to go to the polling booths with full vigor on June 1 in the state.

General Manager of Milk Plant Dr. Surjit Singh Bhadour said that there is a need to include participants from different sectors of the society in the vote festival. He said that VERKA has a strong network of cooperative milk societies of about 1000 villages in Ludhiana, Moga and Fatehgarh Sahib districts through which thousands of farmers and people are associated with VERKA who have continuous day-to-day access to Verka’s milk procurement and marketing staff. Therefore, to make this national festival of the country a success, VERKA has drawn up a big program in which VERKA employees will continuously contribute to encourage the voters to vote.

Verka launches “Election Awareness Mission”; VERKA workers deployed in 1000 villages to increase voter turnout. General Manager Dr. Bhadour said that less than a week is left for voting. Various activities have been initiated by VERKA Ludhiana to increase voter turnout and attract more voters, create awareness about voting rights and encourage people’s participation through various means under which vote branding has been done on all the supply vehicles of Verka along with installation of voter awareness boards at village level assemblies. He said that Verka’s milk tankers and supply vehicles pass through every village and town of the district on a daily basis through which the message of encouraging voters has been reached in every nook and cranny.

He said that with the support of the district administration, milk booths have been established at the places of rehearsal of votes by Verka Milk Plant Ludhiana for the availability of cold milk products in addition to cold drinking water. He said that this awareness campaign has been started after holding a public meeting at Verka Milk Plant Ludhiana to encourage voting in this regard.
