Vigilance officials’ raids unauthorized colony in Alipur Arayian, Patiala

Today, Patiala Vigilance Bureau has raided an under developed, illegal colony situated at backside Nirankari Bhawan, village Alipur Arayian on Patiala-Sirhind road, near byepass.
As per available information a team of Patiala vigilance officials raided the illegal colony after receiving the complaint. The said colony (khalsa Nagar-name not confirmed) is spread in around 6 acres.
As per vigilance officers, the said colony is developed by Akash Jain, Ashu Goel. After the raid, the vigilance officers called up the said owners Jain and Goel. Both showed their inability to reach at the site. Than the law enforcement agency had called the PDA/ PUDA officials on the spot to bring the records and to know more about the project authenticity.
PDA/ PUDA officials informed the vigilance bureau officers that they had already issued the notices to the developers of the illegal colony. They added that even the development authorities had uprooted the roads. The developer was instructed to stop the construction work and submit the necessary documents for approval, but they failed to do the needful.
Vigilance bureau officials said that a person who has purchased the plot has confirmed that a registry has been done.
“It’s a matter of concern that how a sale of deed is registered when the colony is illegal. This might be possible as some political leaders might have “benami” share in this “unauthorised” colony, “said Gurpreet, a resident of Patiala.
It is alleged that the colony being developed without obtaining the necessary permissions from the authorities concerned. The developer had sold the plots, started constructing roads without seeking approval from the concerned government bodies.
When contacted the DTP, Seema kaushal, she said ” i have already asked the ATP to furnish me the details, after that i will be able to say something.”
