Visitors to relish Punjabi Food at revamped Central Vista; food stall allotted to Punjab

As per available information, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the revamped Central Vista Avenue, India’s central administrative area, on September 8,2022. Stretched from the Vijay Chowk to the India Gate, it is considered to be the most popular public space in the national capital. This is the first project that has been completed under the Narendra Modi government’s ambitious Central Vista redevelopment plan.
The Central Vista has a dining area where all types of food will be served. For this, the authorities have allotted a Food Stall bearing No. 5 measuring about 12.44 sq. mtr. constructed at IG-2 – South side at Central Vista, New Delhi to Punjab to sell Punjabi Food.
Punjab government has assigned the duty to the Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board under Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs to popularize Punjabi food in a traditional manner in the Stall at IG-2 at Central Vista, New Delhi.
Now, Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board is going to select the party who is going to run this Punjabi Food Stall at Central Vista, New Delhi
As per sources, “the tourism board is looking for a party that shall engage trained personnel for operation of food stall on his own account and shall bear all cost of operation like salary, overhead, food, energy charges, water charges, taxes, etc. and other cess and levies as applicable from time to time. The selected party is required to invest in furnishing, purchasing kitchen equipments along with crockery and cutlery of good quality at his own cost and required to give details of his investment plan in the pre-qualification bid to the Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board.”
The Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board under Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs is going to select the party through tendering process and will allot a tender to run this prestigious food stall at an important place.
