“Wild animals have more rights on earth than humans”-Er Harjit Singh

Wild animals have more rights on earth than humans. As early as we will understand this and adopt it in our thoughts and behaviour, will be better for our existence on the earth. These views were expressed by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) Engineer in Chief and OSD to CMD Er. Harjit Singh.

He was addressing a seminar as chief guest dedicated to the wildlife conservation week at PSEB Officers Club Model Town. The seminar was organized by Forest Range (Extension) Patiala with the support of PSEB Officers Club and the NGO Umang Welfare Foundation.

The seminar was organized under the chairmanship of Club Secretary Chief Engineer Darshan Kumar Singla, during this Research Scholar Shivani Dogra of the Department of Zoology and Environmental Sciences of Punjabi University participated as the main speaker, while Forest Range Officer Surinder Sharma was the special guest. On this occasion children’s painting competition and plantation drive were also conducted.
