World University organizes cancer care, physiotherapy camp during the Shaheedi Sabha

Recalling the unique martyrdom of Mata Gujari Ji, Baba Zoravar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib organized different service camps on the Shaheedi Sabha/Jod Mel. During the Sabha, World Cancer Care Charitable Society, England, in collaboration with the World University organised a cancer-care camp under the supervision of Dr. Kulwant Singh Dhariwal. In this camp Dr. Dharminder Singh Dhillon, Dr. Navneet Kaur, Dr. Jatin, Dr. Rupanshi, Dr. Sonia, Dr. Mandeep and Dr. Moin did check-ups of the sangat and also made them aware about the symptoms and preventive measures against cancer. Along with this free Physiotherapy and Homeopathy camps, Book exhibition, Gurmat books exhibition, Turban tying training, exhibition of religious documentaries were organised. The Department of Agriculture organised the exhibition of agro products and harvesting machines.
Dr. Prit Pal Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the University inaugurated the Cancer care camp, Free Physiotherapy and Homeopathy Camps and Agriculture exibition. He said that the main objective of the services being run by the University during the Shaheedi Sabha is to spread awareness among the masses, especially the youth so that they can be guided and inspired by the martyrdom of Mata Gurji Ji, Baba Zoravar Singh Ji, and Baba Fateh Singh Ji at Fatehgarh Sahib.
The university’s top officials, staff members, and students took part in these activities. On this occasion the University’s Dean Research Dr. R. K. Sharma, Dean Students’ Welfare Dr. Sikander Singh and Dr. S.S. Biling Head Department of Mathematics, teaching, and non-teaching staff were present.
