Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, celebrated its 69th Annual Sports Day on Saturday, October 28. The Chief Guest for the function was Amrit Kaur Gill, Director, Sports, Punjab Government. Among others, the alumni of the Golden and Silver Jubilee batches of 1967 and 1992 , respectively, were also invited for the occasion as part of the annual Old Students’ Re-union customarily hosted by the school every year.
The programme was conducted on a large scale with many attractive performances. Some major highlights of the show were aerobics, gymnastics ,yoga exercises and Torch PT display by over 1500 students of the school.
The Chief Guest , in her address , spoke on the relevance of sports to a school curriculum and applauded the efforts of YPS, Patiala, in promoting sports amongst its students in a big way . She also congratulated the winners and gave away the prizes.
Later in the day , a dinner was hosted by the school for the OYs, School Board members and other guests and dignitaries .
