5 BFGI students grabbed top positions in a Competitions
Bathinda-Baba Farid Group of Institutes as a part of its flagship initiative of School of Skill Development has been putting all its earnest efforts towards making its students skilled and employable as per the demands of the Industry. Because of these efforts students of BFGI have been outshining in various Technical and Skill Competitions held nationally and internationally competing and beating students of institutions of high repute like IIT, NIT etc.
It is the moment of pride for BFGI that 5 students of BFGI has grabbed top positions in various State level Skills Competitions conducted by Punjab Skill Development Mission, Govt. of Punjab at Jalandhar & Chandigarh.. 2 Students from ECE branch, 2 from Civil Branch and 1 from BCA are selected for regional round on world skill Competitions. These competitions are in line with the World Skills Competitions scheduled to happen in Russia in 2019. Winners of State Competitions will further participate in the Regional and National Rounds before competing in the finals at Russia. Winners of the State Level Competitions will compete in the Regional competitions which would be schedule to happen from 30st May to 2nd June, 2018 at Lucknow It is worth mention that before the Regional competitions the winners of State Skill Competition will also undergo special training in associating industry before regional round and winners will be awarded cash prize of upto Rs. 30000/- by Govt. of India.
On this occasion, Chairman BFGI, Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, congratulated students, teachers, HOD’s and the mentors of the students for winning the State Skill competitions and making the institutions feel proud of them.
