Political Twist: President to meet Raghav Chadha before CM Mann

In a latest development, President of India Droupadi Murmu will meet Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha and three others on May 5, 2026 before meeting Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Punjab MP Raghav Chadha has leveled allegation of misuse of Punjab’s state machinery against AAP defectors who joined the BJP. The move follows a mass Rajya Sabha shift, while Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to present a counter-view later the same day.
President has given time to Raghav Chadha and three others at 10:40 am. Whereas she will meet Punjab CM Mann at 12:00 noon on the same day.
“It is our duty to safeguard the mandate of the people of Punjab and the democratic values. I am pleased to inform you that the Honourable President Droupadi Murmu Ji has granted a meeting time of 12 PM on May 5. Although we had requested time for all MLAs, I alone have received the invitation to meet,” Mann had posted on his social media X account.
