TMS Patiala Celebrates Annual Function 2024-25 with the Theme ‘Timescape’

The Millennium School (TMS), Patiala recently celebrated its much-anticipated Annual Function for the academic year 2024-24, centered around the theme ‘Times Scape.’
The grand event was graced by a galaxy of dignitaries, with the Chief Guests being Dr. Nanak Singh, IPS, SSP Patiala, and Dr. Rajvir Singh Gill, Deputy Director of NIS Patiala. The campus came alive with joyous celebrations, overflowing with zest and enthusiasm as students showcased their talents in a series of electrifying performances.
The event commenced with an effusive welcome accorded to the esteemed guests by the school band team, setting the tone for an evening filled with vibrancy and cultural extravaganza. The stage came alive with a bedazzling array of performances, starting with a soulful Vandana to invoke blessings, followed by an enchanting Barbie Dance and a whimsical Aladdin Dance. The audience was then treated to the playful antics of the Minions Dance, and a thought-provoking Punjabi play titled ‘Zafarnama,’ which depicted the downfall of Aurangzeb and the rise of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
Adding to the diversity of the evening were performances like the soulful Qawwali, a dramatic rendition of the Mahabharata, a joyful Christmas Dance, and spiritual Shabad-Rufi renditions alongside a heartfelt Bhajan. The English play, revolving around the theme of Superstition vs. Science, captivated the audience with its powerful message.
A series of thematic dances kept the spectators enthralled, from the innovative Robotic Dance and the powerful Justice Dance to the evocative Feminist Dance and the vibrant Nature Dance. The evening also saw spirited performances like the Banjara Dance, the traditional Giddha, and the high-energy Bhangra, culminating in a Grand Finale that left the audience in awe.
The budding dancers of TMS Patiala were at their terpsichorean best, while the young actors captivated everyone with their fine acting chops, proving that the students of TMS Patiala are indeed a powerhouse of talent.
