Bikram Alumni Global Association, Regd. (BAGA) of Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala hosted its alumni meet `Home Coming: 2024′ on 14 Dec. 2024 under the guidance of college Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata. It was an enchanting event that brought together alumni under one roof to celebrate the enduring bond between them and their alma mater.
The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the governing body of Bikram Alumni Global Association followed by the college Dhuni. The Principal welcomed all the dignitaries and expressed her gratitude for their consistent support to the college over the years. She also expressed her gratitude to our alumnus Rattan Lal Gupta, presently President and CEO of SUNRAY Group of Hotels, Ontario for his invaluable contribution for open gym for the students, canteen furniture and 3 split ACs for the college campus. Ray Gupta shared his recorded message for his alma mater and appreciated the progress made by college.
The principal further shared updates on campus developments including infrastructure upgrades reflecting the institute’s forward momentum and added that ‘Home Coming 2024’ was more than just an event—it was a celebration of shared journeys, personal growth, and the unwavering connection between alumni and their alma mater. On this occasion the college magazine Bikram Magazine: 2023-24 was also released by the worthy dignitaries. Dr Rekha Rani(General secretary) and Dr. Reetu Kapoor (Joint Secretary) conducted the stage for the event.
President Mohinder Singh Mann (Retd DGP) in his presidential address lauded the efforts of the college Principal to make this institution pioneer in the field of commerce. Distinguished alumni delivered inspiring talks, sharing their professional journeys and achievements. Principal Dr. Vaneeta Rani alumnus of the college was also honoured on this occasion.
Amidst laughter and shared memories, the alumni revisited their favourite spots, indulged in the nostalgia, and rejoiced in returning to their beloved alma mater. The alumni lit up the selfie corner, turning moments into timeless treasures. The vibrant campus gleamed with the echoes of laughter as they reminisced about days gone by.

The grand reunion was graced by the presence of Dr. Mohinder Singh Mann (Patron & President), Harbans Lal Bansal (Patron), CA Naresh Gupta (Patron), CA Rupinder Puri (Patron), Rtn. C.A. Rajiv Goyal (Vice President), CA Anil Arora (Finance Secretary), and life members CA Rajiv Dutta, Retd. Retd. Principals Dr. RK Sharma, H.S.Punia Dr. Neelamjit Kaur, Prof. Ram Kumar, Rtn Tarsem Bansal and other faculty members. The event also marked the presence of Dr. Harjeet Kaur, Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Prof. Manjit Singh, Associate Profs. Indu Bala and Sandeep Mahajan, Dr. Parminder Kaur, Rt. Adish Bajaj, Advocate Pawan Kumar Nirola, advocate Umesh Ghai, Parvesh Krishan Singla , Jaspreet Singh and Nidhi.
The evening left attendees with a renewed sense of belonging and inspiration, reinforcing their commitment to supporting and contributing to the institution’s legacy. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Rekha Rani who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the participants for contributing to the success of ‘Home Coming: 2024’, making it a truly memorable and enriching experience. All teaching and non-teaching staff was a part of the program.
