Lalpura welcomes New Chapter in India-Canada Relations

Bharatiya Janata Party Parliamentary Board, Member, and Former Chairman, National Commission for Minorities Iqbal Singh Lalpura has said that a significant and welcome breakthrough has been achieved in the relationship between India and Canada, following the recent meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. The decision to reinstate High Commissioners and resume full diplomatic engagement is a testament to India’s mature and statesmanlike diplomacy, led by Prime Minister Modi.
This development reflects the Government of India’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the welfare of the Indian diaspora and ensuring seamless international cooperation in the service of peace, progress, and prosperity. Lalpura said that Canada’s decision to invite Prime Minister Modi further reaffirms India’s rising influence in the international order and the trust world leaders place in India’s leadership.
