The Punjab Government is organizing the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary Celebrations of the Ninth Guru, Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, with great devotion and on a grand scale at Sri Anandpur Sahib. Preparations for the event have already begun. Keeping in view the large influx of devotees expected to attend, the district administration has made extensive arrangements.
Giving this information after reviewing the preparations for the martyrdom centenary celebrations at Sri Anandpur Sahib, Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar, Vareet Walia IAS, said that the Punjab Government is making elaborate arrangements for these events, which are expected to witness the participation of a large number of devotees. The district administration has been working on these preparations for the past two months
He stated that a Light and Sound Show depicting the life and martyrdom of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will be organized at the local Charan Ganga Stadium, where around 25,000 devotees are expected to attend. A series of large-scale religious programs will also be organized in Guru Nagri from November 23 to November 25.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that extensive cleanliness work is being carried out at the Charan Ganga Stadium, where the light and sound program portraying the glorious life and supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will take place. For the convenience of devotees, appropriate parking spaces are being arranged around the stadium. He added that street lighting arrangements have been made on all routes leading to the Charan Ganga Stadium, and the stadium is being renovated and painted. Proper seating arrangements are being made for the devotees who will attend the event, and strict security measures will be implemented around the stadium.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner instructed officials from various departments that the opportunity to serve during such a sacred event is a matter of great fortune, and everyone should discharge their duties with full devotion and dedication. He mentioned that the preparations for the event are in their final stages, and the arrangements at the venue are being given final touches.
On this occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Rupnagar Gulneet Singh Khurana IPS, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Chander Jyoti Singh IAS, Assistant Commissioner Abhimanyu Malik IAS, SP Arvind Meena IPS, Sub Divisional Magistrate Jaspreet Singh, DSP Jashandeep Singh and other officials were also present.
