Stars appear not favorable for Punjab govt officers in the month November, till date

The month of November seems to be unfavorable for Punjab government officers as some of the bureaucrats are suspended; senior functionary has tendered resignation, posting orders terminated.
The month begins with the powerful jolt, suspension of Harish Kumar, chief engineer GGSSTP, Ropar Thermal Plant of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on some alleged vague issue on November 2. Then came the number of high profile termination of Harjit Singh, director generation, PSPCL’s contract on alleged fuzzy issue on November 4. State power engineers’ opposed his unceremonious exit as Harjit Singh is known for his dedication, sincerity, honesty, knowledge in the power sector.
On November 5, the resignation tendered by Technical advisor to Punjab government Ravi Chawla raised many eyebrows in the power corridor. His resignation was accepted on a gazetted holiday and the relieving orders were issued on no work day. Chawla saved more than Rs 500 crore of state government in his 14 months tenure. Many officers were against him for this and caused his pre term exit from the government.
Than the suspension of PCS officer Charumita, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Moga, by the Punjab government rocked the state bureaucracy. She was suspended on November 7,2025 for alleged irregularities in a Rs 3.7-crore land acquisition case for a highway project.

Later the Election Commission of India (ECI) ordered the immediate suspension of SSP, Tarn Taran Ravjot Kaur Grewal on November 8, 2025 on the complaint of Shiromani Akali Dal. Grewal was heading the poll bound district of Tarn Taran since September 2025. Grewal was accused of bias and misuse of police authority during the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct.
On November 15,2025, the Punjab government ordered the suspension of Amritsar (Rural) SSP Maninder Singh, 2019 batch IPS for his alleged failure in taking strict action against gangsters. As per reports during his nine-month tenure as SSP, Amritsar Rural, he led around a dozen police encounters resulting in death of one and injuries to 12 others.
On November 17, PSPCL authorities has issued a show cause notice to Er Harmohan Kaur , chief engineer APR and TR for not meeting Sr Advocate and attending court proceeding in a case despite the fact that her medical leave was not approved by higher authorities.
The officers seem to be keeping their fingers crossed as around two weeks on November are still left.
