HEIS of Govt Bikram College organized ‘Milan’ for outgoing students

The Higher Education Institute Society (HEIS) department of Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala proudly organized its annual farewell function ‘Milan’ on 17-04-2026 for the students of BCA and BBA under the esteemed guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata.
The programme began with the ceremonial lamp-lighting followed by a formal welcome by Dr. Reetu Kapoor (Member Secretary, HEIS). In her address, the College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata extended her heartfelt blessings to the outgoing students, encouraging them to strive for excellence in all their future endeavours. She emphasized the importance of integrity, perseverance and lifelong learning and expressed confidence that the students would make the institution proud through their achievements.
The Member Secretary, Dr Reetu Kapoor, HEIS, in her address said that Milan 2026 is more than just an annual cultural event—it is a celebration of unity, creativity and youthful energy. The IQAC Cordinator Dr Rekha remarked that the event provides a platform for students to express themselves beyond academics and to showcase the rich diversity of their talents.
The cultural segment featured a rich variety of performances that showcased the creativity and enthusiasm of the students. The audience was treated to lively Bhangra, energetic Punjabi dances, graceful modelling rounds, and melodious musical performances. Each performance was mentored by dedicated HEIS faculty members. The entire programme was managed by Dr. Harsimran Kaur, Dr. Ritika Maini, Dr. Meenakshi, along with the entire HEIS faculty.
Librarian Sukhbir Kaur, Asst. Prof. Vivek, Dr.Jaspreet kaur, Dr. Paramjeet Singh, Shashi Bala along with all staff members were also present on this occasion. The celebration concluded with a sumptuous lunch enjoyed by all.
