Patiala Corona update; spike in cases; more micro containment zones declared

As per civil surgeon Patiala, today, 152 new cases were reported in Patiala district. Yesterday 142 cases were reported in Patiala district. Today 42 cured patients were discharged from covid care centres, hospitals in Patiala district and now total cured patients touched 1723 mark. Positive cases in Patiala go up to 2729 with todays new cases and active cases goes to 958.

Out of these 152 cases, 86 reported from Patiala, 8 from Rajpura, 32 from nabha , 6 from Samana, 3 from sanour and rest 17 from different villages of the district. In Patiala district 48 cases were detected in contact tracing / micro containment zones and rest 102 from flu corners with flu type symptoms.
As per civil surgeon one death is also reported. A 68 years old lady of karkhas mohalla died in a private hospital at Mohali. with this total deaths due to covid touches 48 figure. He said that in case of more positive cases from the area, micro containment has been installed at five more stations in the district. New micro containment zones were declared in Patiala districts atGuru Nanak Nagar gali number 13, Bajwa colony gali number 7, soodan street near TB hospital in Patiala. In Nabha, Ajit Nagar area and bank street declared as micro containment zone.

Five from Bank Street, Nabha, four from Ajit Nagar and Shiva Enclave, Pandusar Mohalla, Bhikhi Mor, P.S. Two from Sadar, Hira Mohal, Sandhu Colony, Hira Enclave, Balmiki Basti, Patiala Gate, Sadar Police Station, Nabha, Kartarpura Mohalla, Tej Colony, Chonki Rohti Bridge, One from Hathi Khana.In rajpura, two from Gaushala Road, Rajpura,near Eagle Motel, Satnam Nagar, Punjab Colony, Green City, Sanatam Dharam Mandir one each case from these areas.Two each from Agarsen Colony and Amamagarh Mohalla of Samana, one each from Jain Street and nearby Post Office, three from Sant Hazara Singh Nagar of Sanor and 17 different villages have reported covid positive cases.
