Scope and Opportunities Workshop for Agriculture Graduates at GKU
Talwandi Sabo-A workshop was held at GKU with a view to create awareness on scope and opportunities of agriculture graduates in Australia. A team of scientists from Ironwood Institute, Adelaide (Australia), delivered impressive lectures to the participating students with a view to developing skills in Australia after graduating from Indian universities.
Dr. Manpreet Singh Gill, International Students Advisor, Ironwood Institute, emphasized and encouraged the students for exposure to the rapidly changing world scenario of agriculture.
Having rich experience of transforming education into the profession, Dr. Gill, provided resolutions pertaining to key issues of food production and agribusiness in the Australian economy. He emphasized the importance of clean and safe environment of Australia for helping its food industry competitive in global market. The participants were provided with literature dealing with details on living and studying in Adelaide.
Dr. Jora Singh Brar, Coordinator of the workshop, welcomed the visiting team of Ironwood Institute, faculty, and students of the college of agriculture, for showing a keen interest in listening to deliberations during the workshop.
Dr. B.S. Chahil, Dean, University College of Agriculture, thanked Dr. Gill and his team for their illustrative and motivational lectures on the scope of agriculture graduates in Australian universities. In his presidential remarks, Dr. Chahil also thanked the college faculty and acknowledged the presence of students during the workshop. He appreciated the students for their healthy interaction during the workshop.
