Farmers to orgainse flag march from Tikri border to Shahjahanpur border; date to announce shortly

Seven peasant organizations declared today in a press conference to organise a flag March from Tikri Border to Shahjahanpur Border, the date for which will be announced shortly, to further strengthen the mobilisation campaign for the kisan morcha in the villages of Haryana.
This large flag march will galvanize the people of Haryana to jump into the peasant struggle with more vigor and further strengthen their participation in it. Santbir Singh of the Peasant organizations of Rajasthan welcomed this proposed flag March and said that it will multiply manifold the resolve and determination of the peasants to participate in the present struggle more vigorously. These seven organizations also announced to participate in large numbers in the tractor rally to held on 30th December by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha .
Addressing the press conference, Joginder Singh Ugrahan, President BKU(Ugrahan), said that the proposed amendments to agricultural laws, geared only to give more concessions to the big corporates for ruthless exploitation of the farmers in the agricultural trade, will not affect this essential trait in any way. An addition or deletion of a clause here or there will not in any manner influence the entry of the corporates in this trade. Therefore there is no alternative to the the repealing of these Acts, he said.He further said that even if the government’s offer for negotiations revolves around the amendments only, the decision to participate will be taken after we receive their concrete proposals.
Satnam Singh Pannu and Sarwan Singh Pandher, President and General Secretary of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee said that on the completion of 100 days of their rail roko action , the gherao of toll plazas and the big malls will be further strengthened. Suresh Sharma of Rashtri Kisan Morcha, Santbir Singh , President of Pendu Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti Rajasthan and Jarnail Singh Malwala of Kheti Bachao Sangharsh Committee Haryana also addressed the press conference.
