Indian Army CO seeks help from Sonu Sood in establishing Covid care centre

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has become a messiah for Indian’s, due to his tireless social service.

In a latest incident, a Commanding Officer of an infantry battalion of Indian Army, stationed in #Jaisalmer in Rajasthan requested #SonuSood for help in procuring equipment for a Covid-19 facility.

The letter written by the Commanding Officer of #Indianarmy has gone viral on social media.

In a letter dated May 13, the CO of the battalion apprised the movie star, who has been at the forefront of helping people in the Covid pandemic that the Army was setting up a 200-bed #Covidcarecentre facility at the Jaisalmer military station.

He highlighted certain equipment which were required by the hospital, including four ICU beds, ten oxygen concentrators, ten jumbo oxygen cylinders (7000 lts), one X-Ray machine and two 15 KVA generator sets.

The CO requested Sonu Sood to “provide the equipment as part of the “Corporate Social Responsibility” (CSR) in this hour of need. For this noble cause, you will be recognized all over the country as you will be joining hand with the Indian Army to help soldiers who are deployed on border area and civilians. We will remain ever grateful to you for your generous act.”

Indian Army CO seeks help from Sonu Sood in establishing Covid care centre, where as during the second wave of the pandemic, the armed forces have been participating in relief efforts in a big way. The Army has set up several Covid hospitals across the country from its own resources to help the civilian state administrations.

Sonu Sood has been arranging buses to ferrying migrant labourers back home to providing food and medical assistance to the needy in this pandemic and has even set up a helpline in the second wave.
